Ronald Chesney, the man the police wanted to question in connection with the death of his wife and mother-in-law, and who was found dead in a wood near Cologne, Germany, told his friends in Chelsea that he asked his wife to divorce him. She refused. Then a fortnight ago he told Mrs. Pat Sherwood and her husband on their boat at Chelsea Reach; "What Have I to Live for? I am all washed up".
