Description
NEW 30 YEAR RULE ON GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS. 20 years of Britain's best kept secrets were secret no longer, when the doors of the Public Records Office, in Chancery Lane, London, opened this morning. Until now, historians had to wait 50 years for Cabinet papers to give up their secrets. The Government's decision to cut the waiting period to 30 years radically alters the situation. PHOTO SHOWS:- A member of a religious Order, seen at work on documents in the "Round Research Room", at the Public Records Office today.

Photo measures 10.25 x 7.75 inches.

Photo is dated 01-01-1967.
