INTRODUCING THE WORLD'S FIRST "LEOPONS". "MADE IN JAPAN".. For the first time in the world - the keepers at the Hanahin Park Zoo, near Osaka -Japan have succeeded in mating a LEOPARD and a LIONESS - and two Leopard-lions have been born - knewn as "Leopona".. Previously Lions and Tigers have been mated - to produce "Ligers"; a Lioness and a tiger , produoing "tigone": and there has been a lion and a leopardess union with the production of "Liparde". The leppard named "KOSHIO" is 4 years 9 months old and came from Hagenbaoh Menagerie Germany - while "SONOKO" the lioness, almost the same at the Osaka Zoo.. The two cubs- born at the like leopards..Before the mating the parents were injected with hormones.
