Description
WATFORD STARS GO ON THE BEER. THREE FOOTBALLERS OF WATFORD FOOTBALL CLUB ARE GOING ON A DAILY "PUB CRAWL" WITH THE CLUB'S PERMISSION AND BLESSING. TO KEEP FIT DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS, THEY HAVE TAKEN A JOB WITH BENSKIN'S WATFORD BREWEREY WHERE THEY ARE EMPLOYED AS "TROUNCERS" - THEY LOAD BARRE'S OF BEER ON TO THE LORRIES, AND THEN HELP WITH DELIVERING THEM TO THE PUBS-STARTING AT 7 EVERY MORNING. THEIR ONLY REGRET IS THAT THEY CANNOT HAVE THE TRADITIONAL FREE PINT OF BEER THAT THE LANDLORDS OFFER TO THE DELIVERY MEN. PHOTO SHOWS: ROLLING OUT THE BARRELS AT THE BREWERY YESTERDAY (LEFT TO RIGHT) WING HALF BUNNY LARKIN, WINGER RON SPELMAN AND CENTRE FORWARD CHARLIE LIVESEY..

Photo measures 10 x 8 inches.

Photo is dated 5-5-1964.
