1990 Press Photo Meteorologist Fritz Mrtschi Checks Instruments Jungfrau

WEATHER UNDER OBSERVATION Meteorologist Fritz Mrtschi checks the instruments of the meteorological computing station high up on the top of the Jungfrau. The station is one of seventy observation points located all over Switzerland that register the climatic data needed for the weather forecast and long term research in climatic changes. For the past six years a noticeable rise in temperature has been registered on the Jungfrau and elsewhere.
