His World Crumbles into Dust: This was once fertile soil. Now it runs through the fingers like dry sand as the Drought bites deep into the land in the far north-west of New South Wales. Mr. Colin Kennedy, the overseer at Nt. Mulyah station, west of Bourke, scoops up handful of bone dry soil near a waterhole on the property to show the effects of the drought.Good rain has not fallen on the property for more than three years and the small number of stock left alive hev to be fed with shipped fodder.
