Prince Philip drives Chieftain and Fires Gun: Prince Philip yesterday drove a 51-ton Chieftain tank and fired its 120mm gun, when he visited the Queen's Royal Irish Hussars, of which he is Colonel-in-chief, at Bovington, Dorset. Photo shows Prince Philip seen meeting tanks crews as he walks under the huge gun barrels, whilst inspecting a line of Chieftain tanks, at Bovington yesterday.
