Put incurably ill 80 year old patient to sleep - Fifty year old Dr. Maurice Millard of Leicester caused a sensation when he stated in a Rotary Club speech that he had put an incurably ill 80 year old patient to sleep, said yesterday that it was "nonsense'' to call it a "mercy killing''. He said that all he did was to given her a drug to put her to sleep and to keep her asleep until she died.
