Description

The Royal Navy gave their first public demonstration of the latest method by which men can escape from submarines. The demonstration took place at H.M.S. Dolphin Gosport, the headquarters of Flag Officer Submarines, and tests were made in a 100-feet water tank. The net escape system enables men to ascend safely from sunken submarines without breathing apparatus. Photo Shows:- The new one-man escape chamber which is used in the new 100-foot training tank.
