Norway's largest tanker being built in Britain - The 85,000 ton tanker Borgsten is being built at Joseph L. Thompson & Son Ltd yard at Sunderland for Fred Olsen & Co., the Norwegian ship owners. When completed she will be Norway's largest tanker. And also the largest tanker ever built in Great Britain. The Borgsten will have no conventional bridge, having instead a 5-storied streamlined tower resembling an airport control tower giving an entirely unobstructed all-round view of the horizon.
