Australia's new Premier, Mr. William McMahon - Mr. John Gorton, Australia's Prime Minister, voted himself out of office after a crisis meeting of the Liberal Party. He was replaced as Prime Minister and Liberal Party Leader by Mr. William McMahon, 63-year-old Foreign Minister.
