Referendum In Bulgaria May 16, 1971 a referendum in connection with the new constitution of the People's Republic of Bulgaria took place in Bulgaria. The whole Bulgarian people unanimously voted for the right policy of the Party and Government for the further social and economic development of the country. OPS: the first secretary of the CC of the Bulgarian Communist Party and Bulgarian Prime Minister Todor Zhivkov votes in the 42nd polling station of the Vassil Levski quarter in Sofia.
