24-5-63 Centenary of London Underground - The first trip on London's Underground 100 years ago was re-enacted today by a party in the costume of the 1863 trip from Paddington to Moorgate in the City of London. Photo Shows: One of the passengers, Transport Minister Mr. Marples kisses the hands of 23-year-old Angela Parkinson of Fulham in the grand Victorian manner.
