Captain Mark Phillip's parents to open home to the public to raise money for damaged church bells: A tiny village, almost hidden in the winding lance of Wiltershire, and with no more than 450 inhabitant, was standing by for an invasion of 20,000 people. The village is Great Somerford where the parents of Captain Mark Phillips, who marries Princess Anne net month, are opening their home to the publicant the weekend. Yesterday Mr. Peter Phillips and his wife Anne, together with the willing villagers, were decorating their home and the nearby perish church with flowers. The object of all this is to raise 5,000 to get the dameged church bells, which have been silent since the Thirties, to ring out once again. Last night the first party of nearly 800 special guests (at only 1.50 per heard) toured the house. And in three days the full invasion comes down at 50p a time. Photo shows Mr. Peter Phillips and his wife Anne, the parents of Captain Mark Phillips, carry flowers form their home for the local parish church at Great Somerford.
