More than 1000 delegates came to the CSU-Party-Rally at June 20th - 21st 1980 in Munich/West Germany: The nominee of the CSU for the post of the Federal Chancellor, Franz Josef Strauss took Federal Chancellor being in charge, Helmut Schmidt severly to ask in an aggressive address on the CSU -party--rally in the Munich/West-Germany "Bayernhalle". The election to the West-German Bundestag at October 5th, 1980 was the reason for this party-rally which stand under the sign of an fundamental change. The two days lasting meeting began at Friday June 20th with addresses of all Prime Minister of all countries of West-Germany governed by the CDU. At Saturday 21st June the Chairman of the CDU and the deputy Chancellor in the case of a win of the CDU/CSU in the election to the Budestag, Helmut Kohl held a principle lecture in which he call up the delegates to fight for a "change in the West-German politic".
