Mr Humphry Berkeley resigns from Tory party: The texts of a letter from Mr. Humphry Berkeley former M.P for Lancaster, resigning from the Conservative Party, and a long reply from Mr. Heath, Opposition leader were published yesterday. Mr. Berkeley, who is 42, expressed "shock" at the decision of the Shadow Cabinet to appose the Race Relations Bill in the Commons next week by reasoned amendment.
