1954 Press Photo Minister Health Iain McLeod Opening St Giles Hospital Offices

Minister of Health opens new administration block at St.Giles Hospital. A new administration block and operating theatre at St.Gile's Hospital Camberwell, was opened today by the Minister of Health, Mr.Iain Macleod. He paid a visit to the nurse's modern quarters. There are 37 rooms for the staff. Each has it's own colour scheme - in blue, gold or green. Every room has a built-in wardrobe, a dressing table with mirrow, a wash basin, writing table and bed. Photo shows Mr.Iain Macleod, seen opening the new block with a golden key watched by the Matron, V.M. Snelling, today.
