Macmillan goes to House of Commons for Common Market debate after heart attack rumour: Hours before Prime Minister Macmillan was to go to the House of Common for the first day of the Common Market debate, a rumour was circulated that he had suffered a heart attack. the rumour was promptly and emphatically denied by Admiralty House. Photo shows The Prime Minister leaving Admiralty House yesterday afternoon on his way to the House of Commons for the Common market debate. Referring to the rumour that he had suffered a heart attack, he told the photographer "They're trying to kill me off."
