London solicitor appointed Paramount Chief - A London solicitor, a white man, has been appointed a Paramount Chief of the Kumba and Ndian region of the Cameroons in West Africa. Mr. Anthony Steel, aged 33, of Hampstead Way, London N.W., said yesterday that he had been given the honour probably because of his work for the "War on Want'' organization.
