Soviet Ambassador switches on the Blackpool Illuminations - Mr. Jacob Malik the Soviet Ambassador to London performed the ceremony of switching on the Blackpool Illuminations of 350,000 colored lights during the weekend after which he was presented with a special stick of Blackpool rock with the name "J.B. Malik U.S.S.R.'' inscribed through it. Keystone Photo Shows: Mr. Malik looks at the illuminations at the Town Hall after the ceremony in Blackpool.
