Sale of old masters at sotheby's Goya painting fetches $140,000 important old master paintings were on sale yesterday at sotheby's, among them was a portrait of the duke of wellington by Goya, owned by the duke of Leeds. The famous painting was knocked down for $140,000 to Texan oil tycoon, Charles wrightsman. photo shows The man who bought the masterpiece to add to his art collection - Mr. Charles wights man seen with his wife during the sale at sotheby's yesterday. He already owns paintings by vermmor, el grace and tiepolo.
