Greek Election Caramanlis Wins: The Greek Officer gave Premiere Constantine Caramanlis a parliamentary majority at the elections this week but the results shows a drift towards political polarization that does not augur well for the country or for the premiere, The results were different from what Caramanlis expected, for the first time since World War II the left broke the 30 per cent barrier, piling up more than 35 percent of the vote and crushing the political centre.
