Australian Olympic star given six months to live marries law student in Sydney.: Ian McWhirter, a 26-year-old rower chosen to represent Australia in the Olympic Games in Munich disclosed today that doctors had told him he has only six months to live. Ian, who has a cancerous liver tumor, was married today in Sydney to law student, Miss Erica Collins of Perth. McWhirter who comes from Sydney is No. 6 in the Australian rowing eight.
