A KNIGHT ON CHARING CROSS STATION. Some 900 years ago William the Conqueror landed at Hastings in the year 1066. This year Hastings are holding a requiem off the 1066 defeat. So 25 year old NORMAN McGOWAN, in full Norman gear, took the easy way to get to Hastings by train from Charing Cross and not like William the Conquerer who arrived by beat.
