Defence Chief gets air view of the Kiev.: Defence Secretary Mr. Roy Mason wearing a Mae West on board a Nimrod reconnaissance jet on a flight from RAF Machrihanish during which he flew within 400 yards of the Russians new aircraft carrier Keiv, today He watched the 35,000-ton carrier cruising slowly northwards 100 miles west of the Hebrides.
