COMMONWEALTH PREMIER'S CONFERENCE SOUTH AFRICA WITHDRAWS FROM COMMONWEALTH: In a communique issued at Lancaster House after today's session of the Commonwealth Premier's Conference, it was stated that South Africa had decided to withdraw its application for continued membership of the Commonwealth as a Republic.
