The Nobel Prize 1960 for Medicine: was awarded to equal shares to the British zoologist Professor Dr. Brian Medawar (PETER BRIAN MEDAWAR) and the Australian Professor for experimental medicine. Sir Frank Burnet (FRANK BURNET). The official motivation says that the says that the experiments of the scientists are of great importance for the curing of illnesses caused by rays, shortage of leucocytes and certain allergic illnesses.
