Thalidomide Doctor warns of new Drug Fear: Dr. William McBride, the Australian gynecologist who discovered the deforming effects of Thalidomide on unborn babies, today warned that he has found another deformative drug widely prescribed to British Women. Writin in the Australian Medical Journal, Dr. McBride named the drug as Imipramine and said: "I am of the opinion that it is the cause of limb deformities in babies is taken in early pregnancy".
