Description
The double satellite that was sent into orbit about the earth Tuesday night from Cape Canaveral, Fla., is shown above. The main satellite, a 250-pound navigation vehicle, was to be another step toward a system to improve the navigation of ships and planes. Riding above it is a 54-pounder nicknames Lofti which was to be used for radio communications experiments.
