1961 Press Photo Weather-Hurricanes-1961, Padre Island Pier pounded by the waves

The Bob Hall Pier, in the county park on Padre Island was broken in many places by the pounding waves caused by Hurricane Carla as it approached the Texas coast. The pier was totally demolished by the pounding waves after the picture was taken.
