Mrs Elizabeth Rickenbacker, 79 and another son, Dewey, Douglas Air Craft employee, read of Capt Eddie Rickenbacker's rescue. They first heard the good news from the flier's wife in New York. None of them had given up hope he would be found alive, Mrs Rickenbacker stated.
