A little over a year ago this would have been a grim reality. Now it is just a maneuver as US occupation troops hit the beach at Chigasaki, Japan, Oct 18 in the first joint maneuvers of ground and air force personnel since the Japanese Surrender. In full combat uniform, the units storm the beach selected by the High Command prior to the capitulation as the beachhead point for the invasion of Japan.
