Francis LaCoste (left), France's alternate representative on the United Nations security council, talks with Sir Gladwyn Jebb, United Kingdom representative and Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt at routine meeting of general assembly here today. The UN general assembly heard Equadorean President Galo Plaza urge that the peace proposal of Soviet Deputy Jacob A. Malik be explored thoroughly "to create a tranquil atmosphere that permits appreciation of the problems according to their own merits."
