1960 Press Photo Drawing of instruments carried into orbit by the Tiros I

This cut-away drawing shows the complicated maze of instruments carried into orbit by the satellite Tiros I after launching this morning from Cape Canaveral, Fla. The 270 pound weather satellite is expected to send back pictures of the cloud cover over the earth. Transmission of the pictures will be done on a command radio signal sent from tracking stations.
