This is a cutaway drawing of the 21 1/2 pound satellite launched tonight at Cape Canaveral, Fla with a Navy Vanguard rocket. This satellite, several times larger than the one now in orbit, houses delicate instruments to measure ultraviolet hydrogen shooting from the sun in solar flames and to radio such information back to the earth.
