1989 Press Photo Garry Sowerby races the Odyssey 87 Pan American Challenge

Garry Sowerby is well qualified for tackling "Odyssey 87 - The Pan American Challenge," a world record attempt at driving from Tierra del Fuego to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. With its successful completion, Sowerby will hold the Guinness records for the three longest drives in the world. Preceding the Pan American Challenge, Sowerby has motored around the world in 74 days and driven from South Africa's Cape of Good Hope to the North Cape of Europe in just over 28 days.
