Oscar-winning director William Friedkin produced and directed the realistic action/suspense drama "C.A.T. Squad." The program centers on a special government counter-assault tactical squad, headed by John "Doe" Burkholder (Joseph Cortese, second from left), called into action to help stem a series of international incidents threatening American security both here and abroad. Other team members include: (from left) undercover specialist Bud Raines (Steven W. James), weapons and explosives expert John Sommers (Jack Youngblood) and forensics specialist Nikki Pappas (Patricia Charbonneau). "C.A.T. Squad" will be telecast on NBC Sunday Night at the Movies.
