1996 Press Photo Battle of the Bulge casts Henry Fonda, Robert Shaw, Robert Ryan

Battle of the Bulge which exploded December 16, 1944, along 85 mile front from Monschau, Germany, south to Echternach, Luxembourg, in Belgium's Ardennes sector, is dramatically recreated in Warner Bros. Cinerama Production, Battle of the Bulge, in Technicolor. Starring are Henry Fonda, Robert Shaw, Robert Ryan, Barbara Werle and Pier Angeli, among others. The German broke through at Losheim Gap; encircled Americans at Bastogne said Nuts! to German surrender demand; St Vith was retaken January 23, marking end of pitched battle.
