1969 Press Photo James Jones Awards Rick Simon with Godfrey Trophy, OH Football

Top scholar, Rick Simon, 6-2, 225 pound offensive tackle from Perna Valley Forge, was named Ohio State's top freshman football scholar. Simon had a 3.62 grade average for the autumn quarter and was presented the Ernest R. Godfrey Trophy. Making the award is James Jones, a member of the Ohio State athletic staff.
