1965 Press Photo Billy Sullivan, longtime baseball star, placed catchers closer

He Changed Baseball-Billy Sullivan, longtime baseball star, died today. He invented a chest protector and moved catchers from 20 feet behind home plate to their present position. Sullivan would have been 90 on Monday. This picture was taken in 1950.
