Don Budge turns Pro-For $75,000 The United States Lawn Tennis Association kissed Donald Budge and the Davis Cup goodbye today when Don turned tennis pressional. Don said he would like to have remained an amateur, "but it's impossible." He will open a series of one-night stands against Ellsworth Vines January 3.
