Description

Following the 1849 Gold RUsh the ever-quickening pace of expansion led to a series of bloody confrontations as two sets of people with differing cultures and ambitions collided on the Great Plains. The American Experience presents an encore broadcast of The Way West, the acclaimed documentary from producers Ric Burns and Lisa Ades.
