American Motors has announced its sporty Javelin for 1969, featuring a new floor mounted three speed manual transmission with the standard 232 cubic inch six cylinder engine or the optional 290 cubic two barrel V-8. new Styling highlights for the Javelin Include a new grille featuring a bull's eye motif, new trim treatment for the instrument panel in the standard Javelin and extensive use of wood grain applique in the Javelin SST Model. A new two color side "rally" stripe and new "mag" styled wheels are separate options for 1969.
