Description
The Mercury Comet, a new car bearing a familiar name, is Lincoln Mercury Division's entry in the small car field for 1971. It is offered in two series - a base Comet consisting of a two door sedan (above) and a four door sedan plus a special Comet GT sports coupe. Wheelbase is 103 inches on the two door models and a roomy 110 inches on the four door. Standard engine is a thirty 170 c.i.d six. A rugged 302 c.i.d. V-8 is available as an option. Many comfort and convenience options are offered, including automatic transmission and airt conditioning.
