Mercury Montery for 1971 has been increased in leght to Mercury Marquis dimension. it features all new sheet metal and a luxurious interior that is highlighed by a unique instrumental panel. The 351-c.d.i engine is standard, and a new 400-c.i.d. power plant is optinal on the Monterey and standard on the Monterey Custom (above) and all station wagons. The most distinguishing feature of the Monterey series is the new front appearance with integral, exposed dual headlight and revised grille treatment.
