Most Testing Ever - Oldsmobile's 1985 Ninety-Eight is the most throughly tested vehicle ever introduced by the division. More than 600,000 miles of actual vehicle testing and 50,000 hours of laboratory time have been logged on the new Ninety-Eight to assure outstanding quality and reliability. One of the most visible signs of the car's quality is the new multi-coat, high gloss enamel paint, used for the first time on an Oldsmobile model. A final transparent coat of enamel over the color coat gives the paint a dept unmatched by other paint processes.
