Etowah County, Alabama - Etowah school system honored...Etowah County Superintendent C.C. Davis, right, and his project director, Billy Rains, were presented a plaque of achievement by the United States Office of Education and the Alabama State Board of Education for the county's unique teaching program. A pilot project in the nation, it enables students at seven high schools to take the same class at the same time under the direction of one teacher. Making the presentation were Dr. Ernest Stone, educator, left, Dr. O.R. Futrelle Temple of the state office, Rains and Davis.
