1984 Press Photo Phillips High School ROTC students took a helicopter ride

Phillips High School ROTC students took a helicopter orientation ride around the south side Tuesday. The helicopter landed on the school's practice field to take groups of 10 students at a time on five-minute flights. the Phillips ROTC unit has been in existence more than 60 years. Reserve Officer's training. This is the oldest ROTC unit in the Southeast.
