Press Photo Mark Koopman chisels on marble at University of Alabama Birmingham

Mark Koopman of Birmingham's South Side is chiseling away at a piece of marble from Fayetteville on University of Alabama Birmingham's campus as part of the first annual University of Alabama Birmingham outdoor sculpture display competition. The piece is entitled "Symbiotic Opposition" and is scheduled to be completed October 11.
