Helping to kick off the Salvation Army's traditional Christmas Christmas Cheer Fund drive today were Jefferson County Commission President Tom Gloor, left, and Birmingham Mayor Richard Arrington. They are among the hundreds of civic club members who will be manning the kettles and ringing the bells all around Birmingham this season to attract donations.
